Our school was named after the famous poet and writer Salvatore Satta. Nuoro is situated in the north-centre of Sardinia and it is surrounded by “macchia mediterranea”. It has 38.000 inhabitants and it is located at the foot of Ortobene mountain.

It is famous for the writer Grazia Deledda who was born here and who won the Nobel prize for literature in 1926. Our school is situated in the suburb of Nuoro called “Biscollai” and it was opened in 1992 while our sister school in Orosei was opened in 1994. In Nuoro there are some interesting places to see: 4 museums, the statue of “Su Redentore” and nice surroundings. The museums are:
